Our goal is to ensure your home inspection is carried out without any delays or interruptions. There are a few things homeowners need to address prior to the home inspection in order to make this process as smooth as possible. This includes:
Inspection Agreement
- Read, print and sign the Inspection Agreement
- Read the Terms and Conditions and Standards of Practice
Access
- Arrange and confirm entry to the property with all appropriate parties, including the Real Estate Agent, Seller and/or Builder
Obstruction-Free and Accessible
- Bathroom and Kitchen
- Water heaters
- Furnaces
- Electrical panel
- Attic and crawl spaces
- Pets are confined if required
- Store items away from sinks and bathtubs
Property Status
- If the property is newly built ensure that it is in livable condition (Municipal occupancy permit issued)
- If it is a re-sale property ensure that it is not under major renovation or construction and that is in livable condition (Municipal occupancy permit issued)
