A septic system is designed to receive, treat and dispose of unwanted wastewater and solids from a building’s plumbing system. Wastewater and sewage can be harmful to humans because it contains disease-causing organisms and toxins. If it is not functioning correctly, it can pollute surface water, groundwater sources and even drinking water and pose serious health hazards to homeowners and their families.
We recommend that septic system inspections be performed on an annual basis and prior to purchasing a home.
WHAT IS INCLUDED AS PART OF THIS INSPECTION?
This service includes a visual evaluation of the overall septic system. It will include a report on:
- the apparent condition of visible components
- a functional test of the system
- an explanation on how the system works
- maintenance recommendations
Our inspections do not include pump-out, cleaning, and camera scope of the system.
